Out of Water

Featured at Social Word Film Festival and at Giffoni Experience in 2014.

It describes the city of Los Angeles through the eyes of a foreigner with a vivid imagination: Andrea, an 8 year old boy faces the sprawling city to get to the sea, accompanied by his inseparable goldfish Alfredo.

The route runs on an interactive map enriched by the voice of Andrea, who recounts his journey in the new city. The user is invited to discover landscapes and characters that Andrea meets during his adventure, selecting video and sound, and to build his personal vision and interpretation of each district.

Out of Water is created by 25 young Italians, hosted by the Department of UCLA REMAP and supported by the Italian Government, Department of the Youth Policy.

My artistic research is based on the surrounding society, on the liaison that I have with it, and on the obligations that it often imposes.
In my works it is possible to see the protagonists' crises with the society, they try to fight it, because they feel threatened and imprisoned within the bounds the society sets up. In the end, there's always a reaction, to which it will be up to the viewer to give a meaning. My works require an active concentration and reflection.
